Every machine you own, one control room.
Install the bananana brain on one server, then add your other Linux boxes, Macs and Windows PCs as nodes with a single command. Watch them live, open a terminal, move files and restart services from the web or your iPhone. Every connection goes through our relay, end-to-end encrypted, so nothing needs open ports and nobody in the middle can read it. Not even us.
Free during the beta. iPhone and iPad app in TestFlight.
Live monitoring
CPU, memory, disks, network, temperatures and processes for every machine, every few seconds, with history.
Terminal anywhere
A real shell on any node from the browser or the app, with an Esc, Tab, Ctrl and arrow key row on touch screens.
Services and containers
Start, stop and restart systemd, launchd and Windows services and Docker containers, with a confirming second tap.
Files
Browse, upload and download on any node. Preview and share from your iPhone.
Websites and alerts
See whether the sites you host are up and how fast they answer, and get an email when something goes down.
Search everything
One search across machines, containers, sites, processes and commands, typo-tolerant, on every page.
How it works
- Install the brainThe brain is the bananana dashboard on a server you own. It keeps all your data and every key.
- Add a nodePick the system and the features you want to allow. The brain makes a one-time install command.
- Run one command
curl -fsSL https://bananana.dev/install.sh | sudo sh -s -- '…'on Linux or macOS, or one PowerShell line on Windows. - It shows upThe node connects out to the relay and appears on your brain within seconds. No ports, no VPN, no firewall changes.
Private by design
The relay is mandatory, and it is blind. Your brain and your nodes agree on keys with the Noise protocol (Noise_IK_25519_ChaChaPoly_SHA256), the same cryptographic framework WireGuard and WhatsApp are built on. The relay forwards sealed messages and only ever sees which installation they belong to, their size and their timing.
- Each node creates its own key on the machine. The private key never leaves it.
- Install commands work once and expire after 24 hours.
- A node enforces the features chosen at install. The brain can't turn on more later.
- Every terminal, file change and service action is logged on your brain.
- Face ID, an authenticator app, Sign in with Apple or Google, and per-device sign-out.
Runs on what you run
Coming next: a Docker image for the brain, and Apple device management (MDM) for iPhones, iPads and Macs.
