The iPhone and Android apps

The whole dashboard in your pocket, with Face ID or fingerprint unlock, native Google and Apple sign-in, a terminal keyboard that works, and photo uploads.

The bananana.dev apps for iPhone and Android open your company's dashboard with everything the web version has, plus a few things a phone does better.

Set up

  1. Install bananana.dev from the App Store or Google Play (during the beta, your IT team sends you a TestFlight or test link).
  2. Enter your dashboard address the first time.
  3. Sign in with your email and password (and code), Google, or on an iPhone, Apple.
  4. From then on the app locks itself with Face ID, Touch ID, your fingerprint or your phone's passcode when you open it, because it can open terminals and screens.

Notifications

After you first sign in, the app asks whether it may send notifications. Say yes and your phone hears about what your role covers:

Tap one to open its page. Turn each kind on or off, and see or remove your phones, under Settings. On Android each kind is also its own notification category in the phone's settings, so you can give alerts a different sound.

They're end to end encrypted: your phone makes a key that only it and your dashboard have, and your dashboard seals every notification with it. Apple, Google and bananana.dev carry the sealed message to your phone but can't read it. Signing out of the app stops notifications to that phone.
